I love. but God is.

If I tell you I love you, it's normal...and genuine too. I suppose I have varying degrees of affection for most people...and then some aversion too. Call me sentimental.

What if I said, "'True love never professes anything.'" It is abiding.

1 Jn. 21:17 Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you."

"True love never professes anything." It is and it is known. "You cannot say nice things when the Lord speaks directly to you, the hurt is too terrific...the point of the hurt is the great point of revelation. Peter began to see how much he did love Jesus..." ~Oswald Chambers, My Utmost for His Highest March 1st and 2nd.
